Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Actually, the armoire and the chifforobe or chifferobe are two different pieces of furniture.

Both the armoire and the chifferobe are tall, wooden, stand-alone cupboards featuring shelves for storage. They can be moved around as needed, unlike a traditional closet. The most significant difference lies in their configurations. An armoire -- also known as a wardrobe -- typically has two doors that open to a spacious storage area on top, with several shelves lining the bottom half of the cupboard. Armoires sometimes also feature a couple of long drawers underneath the top cupboard. A chifferobe combines into one unit a tall, narrow closet for hanging clothes and a tall, narrow chest of drawers. Sometimes, instead of drawers, a chifferobe will offer a set of narrow shelves. The closet and drawers are situated side by side in this unit.

Now if only the professional ad copywriters knew that

I only know what a chifforobe is because I once owned one that I bought for cheap from a coworker. I had heard the term in movies and seen it in books - but had no idea of what it was until I bought the one my colleague no longer needed. I wish I'd kept it when I went back to college....

Would they also like a nice bridge? I have one available that leads from SF to Marin County, barely used, like new.

Nope, don't want it. I want one painted a different color. Teal and black maybe. Though you have to wonder why the Giant's are orange and black and A's are Kelly Green and California Gold. Why isn't the SF team CA Gold?

ROFL- it irritates me when people go to look at houses- oh no dear, the color of the spare bedroom is horrid. I just can't buy it.

This was in this mornings craigslist free section

Haunted Blender FREE!

condition: HAUNTED
Free for the taking is a haunted blender. Works fine but it is in fact teeming with spirits and goblins. Won't scare you but sometimes makes frozen drinks in the night. You wake up from the noise but when you turn on the kitchen lights "SURPRISE!"
