I am looking for a horse. Any breed please no gaited horses. Must be 16hands or bigger and under 13 years. Must be sound. I like the horse to be free up to $1000. I am willing to work off the price or make payments. I can offer a great home with references. Projects welcome. Please send me pictures and info about your horse.

My problem with these type of ads is... 1. They don't seem like they even have the 1,000$ to spend on the horse if they need to work off the price/ make payments. Really if you can't afford the purchase price of a horse, then you cannot afford the care/upkeep of said horse. They are spendy critters. 2. Since free seems to be the preferred Price, they sure have a lot of criteria. Most 16hh+ horses cost a lot more than 1K. I am surprised they don't want it to be bomb proof and professionally trained as well.

X2, I get so annoyed when I see "looking for a pitbull" when just below it are literally 100's of posts for this breed!

I don't even look at it like that, I look at it like they went thru all the listings and those dogs weren't "good enough" or they weren't puppies. Drives me crazy, when people are looking for that particular breed and yet thats all there seems to be in the shelters these days. Go adopt one that needs a home.

This morning on Craigslist (I'm not entirely sure if I'm interested, he does have very orange feathers, though...):


Rare and endangered Croad Langshan Rooster for sale or trade - $45 (Leicester)

This is the reason we are getting rid of him. Our children are terrified of him, he will literally run them down and attack them. He is a gorgeous 8 month old rooster with a blood red comb and wattles that are a perfect contrast with the jet black and orange feathers which have iridescent highlights. He is a tall bird that looks and is ferocious. Would make a wonderful show bird. He is an excellent protector of our hens and has alerted us of coyotes and bobcats. He is an awesome bird and has been fed organic feed and free ranged all of his life. HE is very RARE and very beautiful.
I would be open to a trade for some guineas.
