In Montana, you can purchase registered brands. They aren't cheap though! https://billings.craigslist.org/grd/5972704389.html

Everywhere has free roosters, but I love the hens expressions in the background!
I thought that's what I heard although that said, I probably wouldn't have the box in the main house anyway. Ours is in the basement in the unfinished part haha
They say you're supposed to have one box for each cat plus an extra so theoretically we should have two but we just have the one and she's fine.
I suppose if I had somewhere to put it I could have a second one though but our house is so chopped up there's really no other place to put it.
But if I had like a spare room or officd or laundry room or something I'd put one there I guess haha
I don't think it would be a good idea to have it near bedrooms though. Probably can't get sick but there's a chance and it's gross too
That said, I always thought it was kinda gross they step in it then track that around the house. Can't you get sick from that?
But all that said, I feel like if the box is changed every day or week then it's really not that gross or unsanitary. Although I'm really really bad about changing Luna's box so either no more cats or someone else can change it lol
As for dogs, yeah, probably depends on individual dogs and training. Did they bite? Do you have a dog now?
Our boxer is very good with the children and the chickens. The only time she ever hurt a kid was when our toddler accidentally fell from a bench seat the dog was sleeping under. The toddler fell on the sleeping dog's belly, hurting and surprising the dog. She nipped the baby, pinching her temple and drawing a little blood, but immediately stopped when she realized what had happened. Molly was so horrified at what she had done, she refused to come indoors for quite a while. Princess toddler was fine, but a little shook. Dad was ready to murder the dog right then, but we realized she had been startled awake, and it really wasn't her fault.
Yep, sure do. I actually got a pitbull/coonhound when I got pregnant with my first daughter, 12 years ago. She was trained as a guard dog, and guard she does. Those babies are HERS and she has bitten a couple of people for getting too close to the kids, my ex husband being one of them, but the kids can twist her tail, ride her like a horse, and poke her eyes out and she won't flinch one bit. Still have her but she's ancient now and can barely walk. Also have 2 chihuahuas that avoid our 5 month old, but he can get a quick pet in before they dart away... They've been trained to run away
The biter was my ex husbands dog, a Bull Terrier. Horrible dog for children, intolerant and nippy, I tried to keep him away from the kids, but he inevitably took one bite of my daughter's lip and I almost put him down but the ex begged for his life. Will never own a Bully ever again.
