Why does it say:
"Please quote "Lemon Lime Group Chickens"
Is he/she recommending a recipe?
I found myself wondering how many of those 40 milk goats were male.... I'm not up for trying to milk a buck, thanks.Yeah, I think they just want to get rid of them all and be done with it. Or maybe they genuinely don’t know, guess there is no way of telling. But given that they are all free when they could make a decent amount from them, at least with the 40 goats, it leads me to believe they just want them gone. I just hope they find good homes and don’t end up stew or tortured/abused like so many free animals.I don’t have any issues with meat animals and understand most of the roosters will likely end up as chicken dinner which I’m okay with, it is what it is, but the goats are all free too and could very easily end up in the wrong home.

Here's a Facepalm Craigslist ad: so is it free or is it $18? Cornish X laying hen, anyone?

Haha, you'd have to pay ME that $18 to take her... and I probably still wouldn't. The owner admits she has leg problems already, doesn't sound like she will last long even without freezer camp involved.I think they’re just saying that she needs a rooster free home, not that she is free. Don’t see that mentioned in the ad. But ohhhhh booooyyyyyy. Definitely a face palm lol BUT. She does seem to love her and at least she has had a good life up until now? And if she is not suffering or having any health problems, I guess it is fine they have kept her alive all this time, I am sure hatcheries keep some alive to breed and continue their lines, and she has surely had a better life than them. But I do think that it is a little ridiculous that they don’t want anyone else to eat her and seem to be a bit overly attached. She doesn’t appear to have any health issues now but I am sure she will not live past 18 months if that long and those roosters she also has that she describes as “vast” will likely live even shorter than her. And in a way, I guess she is suffering since she says she can’t really move around well or roost/jump high? And moves real slow? No life for a chicken. She really should be humanely euthanized (well, not with drugs, preferably just culled for food so she doesn’t go to waste), but nooooo. She’s special apparently.ALSO! that $18 fee is a little absurd! You can get these birds for $2-$3, or even under $2 or $1 if bought in bulk, so you could buy anywhere from 5-10 birds or potentially more for the price of this one old, likely tough by now, supposedly special, hen.
