Not CL, but in Tractor Supply the other day I saw a guy and his young son talking to the employee about getting “a” duck. When I heard him say “How long does one of these things last?”…. 😤🤦‍♀️🙄
That's pretty funny, but at least he was thinking about it.

When I first got chickens, I didn't realize there were different lifespan expectations for different types of chicken, e.g. sex-link/ISA Browns vs. Orpington.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

Beautiful Elephant ear plants for sale
These plants are a beautiful addition to any garden or can even be kept indoors. They come in a 3 gallon planter bucket. These grow great in Florida and if it freezes outside they will come back shortly after and grow even bigger, or they can be kept inside as well. The price for one plant is $35.00

35 bucks for a plant I can't eradicate? (My wife liking them doesn't help in that regard)
I'll start potting them.

It wasn’t funny. It was sad that he was considering buying ONE duckling for his 4 year old to play with. He was wondering how long it would “last”.

It's the Easter thing. It's a very sad thing to do. That's why there's supposed to be laws in place protecting these birds. Now, from what I've seen, within the past five years the laws have changed... 🙄
