My Barred rocks laid small ones for about the 1st 4 days or so, then I starts getting the larger ones.
Now my Ducks on the other hand, lay 3 Every morning and that's from 2 of 3 Known females, and when I show them to people they just Can not believe the size of them.
They are usually 2 times the size of my largest chicken eggs!
People always ask me if duck eggs are edible and what do they taste like.
I always answer that usually just 1 duck egg will cover a large frying pan and that they taste just like chicken eggs, but have a little more nutrients and are the BEST eggs to bake with !!
I then hear back how my customers LOVED their duck eggs so now I literally have a waiting list for them !
Of course they love the chicken eggs too but they are easier to come by.
