Oh iam in trouble- gone and done it again

The red sex links definitely will be. That was why they were created, to make it easier for hatcheries to sex them.
I'm not sure about the tetras though, but I am pretty sure they were also easy to tell the sex of at hatch. It seems all the hatcheries are going for hybrids that are fast & easy to sex by the average person. One less paycheck they have to write.
Good luck with your babies that you don't need. I am so glad I found more people than myself with the disease.

Here are 3 of my TT girls at 5 weeks. I've heard there faster growers than most other standard breeds! I also have 8 of the Production Reds or "Red Pullets" from TSC as well, supposed to be very good layers. Good luck with yours mine seem to have good temperament and are laid back for the most part.

Both of those breeds are supposed to be faster maturing than standards. And the production/hybrid reds are just egg-laying machines! I have 5 of them, and they are really nice, friendly birds. You are going to be overrun with eggs! Mine started laying at 4 months.
Your tetras look like they are going to be some good looking birds. I hope you will post some pics when they are adults.

lol TSC may not always have the most chicken-knowledgable employees, but their info on their website is pretty good.
TSC gets their chicks from Mt. Healthy Hatchery, so you could probably get some more reliable breed info from there. I hear they are pretty good about answering your questions too, but I don't know that first-hand.

There are several threads regarding Tetra Tints going around now. Wolfracing contacted the hatchery and received a response here. The chicken lady at my local store also said they are longhorn/RI crosses. There is a Tetra Tint breed thread here in the Breeds section, as well.
