JennsPeeps...I date the eggs as my girls are just starting to lay and I want to see how they are laying and hopefully find out WHO is laying. I have 6 that 25 weeks old.
chicks4chicks...she is 25 weeks old tomorrow and she laid on the 13th. So, give em time and they pay off. Her egg is a good medium sized, nice hard shell and purty green.
Anny that is one spoiled chicken! She watches TV with DD on her bed and gets very uset when DD watches re-runs of America's Next Top Model. When those come on Sandy insists on going outside. Guess she thinks she is America's Top Everything!
When I ordered Sandy she was supposed to be an Ameraucana but clearly she is an EE. So when I ordered my new babies from a different hatchery (Meyer) they all three look completely different and have greenish blue legs so...who knows. I will put a thread under baby chicks about these three sisters. LOL
I've got 4 EE pullets and 3 are laying so far. (One is a few weeks younger than the others) So far, I'm getting a pale turquoise, a pale green and a pink egg from the three older ones, all from the same hatchery. I can't wait to see what the 4th one lays! She's from a different hatchery and would be from a totally different strain. I think waiting for the EE's to lay is the most exciting...altho, I was so thrilled when I got my first brown egg too!!
