I screwed up--The whole time I had 2 eggs in there that I thought were blue laced frizzled polish but one just hatched ( the letters were BL on the egg) It a BUFF laced polish sweet!!!!!!

At least you had jerseygirl1 and lolalucy here to play with you. I was out shopping! Since my darling dbf forgot his light, I made him go with me to walmarts to get one. I also bought a new camera, so now I'll be able to post pics of my mint green ameracauna eggs for you. And pics of my chickies when they start poppin' out.

I'm sorry, I had to laugh when I saw your polish experience. I've done that too, that's why I laughed. It's good not to be the only one who does those things. Yeah baby, another cochin

1/2 Standard cochin hatched ( the last one is rocking and rolling with a good size pip right now woo-hoo
10/14 silkies out no pips in the last 4 eggs:-(
1/2 olive eggers hatched
0/1 columbian W-no pip
1/2 buff laced frizzled polish-no pips in last one
4/4 EE's hatched
0/1 BBS orp

Thats is so far and its winding down in there and getting stinky

I hope I see a few more before bed or at least wake up with a few more chicks but if not Im happy They are all healthy and the only defect I see is one of the EE's it doesnt have splayed legs but cannot get off its butt to stand normal-never had this?? he is big and fat too so I dont want to cull him anyone have any idea hes walking or scooting on his hocks??

Congrats Natalie on the hatch...I still have a few that are pipped/zipping...I need to go get a tally as of yet...lol

second and last S cochin is out and greeted me this am I woke up and crossed my fingers and grabbed my flashlight-shined the light on the spot where the egg was last night and noticed it was in half searched and there she was hiding in corner just as pretty as its sibling fertility confirmed for sure I have 1 BBP orp egg that is pipped thank goodness I really wanted that 1 little bugger-I hope its a splash-I hope its a splash--how do I know again if its a splash? compared to black or blue? what will it look like? I see yellow feathering?

Good morning all. Natalie, you got another one, yay. I'm so happy your orp egg is pipping for you. WOW, what a little pudgy you have in that pic LOL. They are both so sweet. How's the one that wouldn't stand and walk yesterday doing for you? I had one that it's yolk was huge, made him look pretty fat, and he didn't walk alot at first. Maybe yours is the same, and once the yolk is digested it will do better.

I have no idea how to tell a splash chick. I have splash silkies in the bator, but since they are still eggs, they aren't tellin'.
