Oh my gosh they are here! Lavender Bantam Ameraucanas

Sara,
You can have your male Lavender Ameraucana bantam rooster whenever you finish your coop. No hurry but I won't let him out to free range because of the hawks. He just started to crow. He is about 4-5 months old. I kept him by mistake because I wasn't sure if he was one of my LF Lavender Ameraucanas or not when he was younger or he would have been sold when I sold out of my bantams. He was also from John's stock. Good luck you will love them and they lay a nice blue egg. Harry

They do lay a nice little blue egg! There was one tiny little blue egg in the box with them. Can't wait to be able to add the cockerel to my little flock

I got a few pullets from Mike Blehm's stock and they are awesome and tiny....they look so much better than the hatchery kinds! I cross his pullets with Mike Gilbert lines and they were more refined and boy, I was happy with the crosses!

Although I am under orders NOT to put any eggs in the bator due to some electrical upgrades, I could NOT put it in the refrigerator. It's tiny so no one will notice right? I don't think we will be ready for the electrical work within the next 21 days anyway. I don't know if it's fertile since I don't know if they were with a cock..but I guess I'll find out in a week. I actually didn't even see it when I took the girls out. Lucky I looked in the box again.

I also couldn't believe the post office got them here in less than 24 hours. Somehow that egg is intact and yet some of you package eggs to withstand a bombing and the PO manages to bust them.
