Oh no, another chicken.... Black Wound?!

I believe you can get Piperazine 52 in Canada for large animals and that can be used in chickens to treat roundworm. I am not sure of the dosage though.

She looks very sick from the picture. Her tail is down and that could be a reproductive issue, infection, or internal laying. Coccidiosis could also be a problem, with her puffed up appearance, sleepiness, and weakness. Amprollium from a vet treats that. What do her poops look like? With these symptoms, just about anything could be wrong. Does she have problems walking or with balance? Has she been acting like this since her injury?

7 days of antibiotics should have killed any infection by now I would think?

Her poop look clear/greenish...

She does not walk very much, just stands there. Tho when I get her to walk, she does seem a bit out of balance tho could the antibiotics cause this too?

I have noticed her acting like this way before the vet discovered the injury, so I can not tell if the injury has caused her sleepyness, likely?

Tho the injury looks a lot better since we been removing scab, cleaning several times a day and 3 anti biotics ointment. Just her sleepyness/lack of appetite has not gone away yet. Not sure how much longer she will make it in this state, as she has been like this for weeks.

Antibiotics would not cure coccidiosis, nor a reproductive problem such as internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis. Since she has not laid an egg, a reproductive disorder could be a problem. Many times we do not know the problem until a necropsy is done after death, especially if it is something like Mareks disease. Could you get some fresh droppings checked for coccidiosis by your vet?

I can't see her having a reproductive problem personally, as she is part of the younger flock (6 month olds), and my older bunch is 8 month old and none have been laying yet.
Moulting? Or def. Something to do with colder temps, but I think it is the age.

Yes I will try to get her in again on Tuesday once the vet is opened up again.

She worried me as she did barely eat anything all day, I finally got her to eat a wack load this evening and drink garlic water again. She seemed a bit better than this morning.

Hopefully she will hold in there.

Okay I am unsure if I would be able to get those dewormers in Canada, will have to talk to the vet and see hopefully Tuesday.

I did not tube feed her yet, as she has been eating a little bit here and there and still seems to have a little bit of solids in her stool.

I remember her being tired for atleast 3 weeks, probably longer I just never got around to inspect her closer as I was dealing with a dying chicken at the time for over a week.

This little one never left the coop, just like her other 6 month old siblings they voluntarily stay in the coop all day, tho I did find her outside 'laying' on her side maybe 10 days ago, just before I took her in to care for her, by that point the wound was already very infected so I don't think any predator would have gotten ahold of her.

She literally just stands there all day/night with droopy wings.

If I try to get her to move she stumbles, she does not like walking, also she does not sit.

She takes a bite of food, falls a sleep, try to wake her up, she takes another small bite, back to sleep and so on.

It's been getting harder and harder to wake her up just to get her to drink or eat in between bites.
Now that photo tells a bit of a story. She is definitely not well.
I doubt with you being in Canada that you can get Amprolium (Corid) over the counter, hopefully the vet can see you asap and do a fecal float to see if that may be the problem.

I would give her some white cooked rice with buttermilk in addition to her normal feed, hopefully that will soothe the gut while you are waiting for an appointment.

I don't think I can get Amprolium, everything seems so restricted here. I will have to see a vet and see what she can do... she originally thought the wound caused her sleepiness, but it appears there is more to that.

I don't have any buttermilk or powder milk in house right now... too late right now as stores are closed and I am 40mins out of town.

Should I not stay away from dairy products until she is off antibiotics? Because else I might be able to feed her yoghurt and white rice.

Well, you are right about the antibiotics -you are giving Baytril, so no dairy products with that one.
How many more days are you giving that?

Once finished, then I would give the buttermilk and rice - this can help with the loose stools plus give probiotics. A good quality plain yogurt could be used too I suppose.

Tomorrow will be day 7 for antibiotics, so last dosage.

I will try to get buttermilk Tuesday, and also hope to get her in again to the vet for a stool sample and check out the wound again.

For now I was able to get the chicky to eat some more crumble feed with baby peach/apple sauce, she ate that instead of scrambled egg, and more garlic water.

I started the garlic water yesterday and it seems to help her a bit.
