Oh No! Daisy is MISSING. Support/crystal ball needed.

Thanks again duck/chicken luvas! I knew you guys would understand. The 'call' duck in the cat carrier is a brilliant idea, but all i've got is funny old Donald who is really raspy. I'm going to give it a try tho.

Is it too early to advertise for a new girlfriend for Donald or is it disloyal to Daisy? I think he may have turned his affections toward Lulu my silkie...don't want to have to explain the facts of life to them. What's a chicken crossed with a duck? A Chuckling? or a Dick? oops, pardon me!

Thank you. Nope. Nuthin! I keep imagining I can hear her quack but it turns out to be a crow. Home doesn't feel right without her.

More positive Daisy come home vibes and ducky prayers coming your way. I had a guinea hen go missing earlier this summer and know how nerve-wracking it can be when they just disappear.

For days not so much as a buckwheat out of her and I looked everywhere and their was no sign of her to be found. After about a week or so I had a brief sighting but could not figure out where she was going. Eventually, I was able to see where she went and found her nest: She had 19 eggs in there. Since she'd picked an excellent spot in a fairly secure location (in the fenced horse pasture under a brush pile by a stump), we decided to leave her alone and just watch.

She hatched 18 babies and we decided to guinea-nap 16 to sell, which was quite a trick let me tell you: Think three angry adult guineas and a swarm of tiny keets scattering in every direction imaginable with two middle aged people and a cardboard box chasing them...

....priceless.

This isn't said to me mean, honestly it isn't, but is there some good reason you can not block the "secret hole" that your birds are using to escape.

There are risks enough in your own backyard, but as soon as your birds leave your property they are extra vulnerable.

I am hoping for you that she is nesting somewhere and will reappear. However, how big can the neighbor's yard be that you can't search every inch?

Did you check at the local animal shelter to see if someone found her wandering and turned her in?
