Oh No! Daisy is MISSING. Support/crystal ball needed.

Thanks Kid, I will definately do that. I've advertised for another one, just waiting to find someone who has mallards in my area. I appreciate all the good wishes and toe crossing and so does Donald. (And Daisy's pet chicken, Lulu).

Thank you Oregon Blues. I have actually searched every inch of my neighbour's yard daily since she left because I need to be sure in my own mind I haven't missed something. It's not an extremely large yard but is very overgrown at the back. You'd have to see it to understand but there's sections there that are so thick that it's possible that although I've shoved my body through there in spite of the snakes, she may be hiding

I have listed her with the RSPCA as well as the local council. I even went down to the shelters to look for myself to be sure there was no mistake. I have also put signs up on all the electricity poles and told all the neighbourhood kids. My neighbours and I discussed the little hole in the fence and because their yard is so very well fenced and because they loved having Daisy and Henny Penny come to visit it didn't seem any more dangerous than having her free range in my yard. I think what has happened is just one of the things we all face when we choose to become owned by poultry . I take my guardianship of these guys very seriously and I can't beat myself up anymore than I already have without going nuts(er).

I'm looking forward to posting all about my miracle in around 28 days when she comes home with babies.
