Oh man my 2 d'uccle's are 4 weeks old tomorrow and I think I am seeing a tinge of peachy/pink on the one comb. WHY!! This chick is my most favorite chick. It greets me all the time at the brooder, it jumps up on me every chance it gets, it falls asleep upside down in my hand and cuddles and never wants to go back to the brooder. I adore this lil' chick and can't keep roos where I live. I will just be crushed if I can't keep it.

here are a few pics .... be honest what do you think?? The first pic is the other d'uccle that has no pink tint I just posted it so you could compare...they are the same age

these are all the chick in question....I know I will probably just have to wait another week to really see. The pink is actually more on the under part and not the comb right now ( on the skin more) does that make sense

thanks... I think I'm in denial

Ok so I am no expert but I don't think you have anything to worry about ...yet! I do see a teensy more pink in the 2nd then in the first but not enough to think twice about! Again, I say yet because mine have changed so much every week!! Hang in there!

Sit tight, I just raised up 6 and the boys combs were really, really pink early on. There was no mistaken by 4-5 weeks old who was what. The girls stayed yellowish.
