Oh no! I think "she" might be a "he" after all... (photo heavy)

Funnily enough, the question answered itself this morning...

Boy fight in the pen!

The bigger roo (same hatch) established that HE was boss, oh it wasn't a pretty butt-kicking... Poor little Jericho kept running away, screaming, head tucked into corners but Casper just kept spurring him and pulling head and back feathers - so mean!

They better get along or I'm going to have to separate them and my coop's just too small!

*cries*

Well guys, seeing as I'm in Canada there's no chance of eggs being shipped anyways - boooo

I got him from a friend of mine, Jericho hatched from a green egg and the mom is some kind of EE mix - not sure who the dad is, either.

He's Mystery Boy! lol

I thought there was no restrictions on shipping eggs from Canada? Besides, I will be up that way Saturday, and then again later this year. Take you to lunch, you give me a little basket of unmarked goodies.....

I actually did A LOT of research on this last year, and spoke to the head vet at the USDA. Long story short, none of the rules listed here apply to Canada--since it would be (biosecurity-wise) like crossing the street.

LareePQG, if you're ever up in my neck of the woods do let me know!

As far as I know, this roo is a freak accident and I have no idea if he could be reproduced, however it would be interesting to breed him to another red mottled to see what kind of offspring that would give!

Again, I don't know what kind of genes he carries.

Wee baby boy, let's first see if he grows up to be a handsome fella!
