OH, NO....Is she actually a HE? EE or Ameraucana?

But price can't be the criteria... otherwise, the shady hatcheries will just raise prices on their EE's and say "these are authentic Ameraucana.. see the price tag?"
Yep, there are con artists out there, buyer beware - be informed before you buy.

And with regard to getting blue eggs. If that is what you want, you want a TRUE Ameraucana, Araucana or Legbar. They MUST by APA definition lay blue. Some EEs lay blue. One of my 2012's did (fox food a couple of years later) and one of my 2015's lays blue. The other 3 lay some shade of green. There is no way to tell what color an individual will lay until she lays her first egg.

Thank you ... darn it! Is it the dark feathers coming in?
Not just the dark feathers but that its red feathers coming in on the shoulders. That can be a tell of a male in some patterns.
The OPs mostly white one has red on breast but not shoulders or back. That is a tell of a female with some patterns.
Both o yours and hers is dominate white but has a pattern under there like wild type. The dominate white will cover almost all the pattern except red. Their red matches areas of those sexes in the wild type pattern.
If that makes sense.
