Oh no! Not the breed I was told they were!

We will be separating them.... Just waiting on my hubby to bring home another heat lamp bulb when he gets home from work. Our other lamp had one burn out. We finally finished off a half gallon of milk, saw a pin where the jug was laid sideways with the hole cut. Just washed it out to use! I think you were reading my mind! :)

Our local feed store! Lol. They are the ones that told me Khaki Campbell! However when I looked at images of khaki ducklings last night (just for fun really), I realized they didn't look anything like what I have. That was a face palm moment. So my next thought was maybe Muscovy.... Except they don't sell them at all. Then I thought... "Surely not wood ducks or mallards....those are migratory...." It doesn't matter what they are as far as me wanting them, I just like to know EVERYTHING about what I do have. Lolz. Yep, I'm the one who researches every nuance of whatever breed of whatever I have, even our dog. It helps me know my animals that much better.
I think Rouen Ducklings..If from a feed store.

I think Rouen too, Rouens are large breed ducks so I don't think you have to worry about them flying off. But I would consider covering the top of your run to protect from flying and climbing preds.

Precious duckling you have there.

The cover is definitely in the plans. But the way our current "chicken yard" is built, we still have some cross supports and such to build up first. The duck run we are building shares one wall with the chicken yard. Just wasn't sure if covering the duck run was a priority or if we could wait and do it all together. So many build projects going on.... Our goat fence, the duck run, improvements and modifications on chicken coops and our feed room... Not to mention turning one of our old chicken coops into a "female only" rabbit community "condo". Trying to figure out the priority levels.... Obviously duck run is being done now, can't have these babies homeless.... And so many cool things, I want to try out a pool design I saw with this little pebble pathway leading up to it. I could really just go on and on and on about it...... Haha
