Please PLEASE tell me that my 3 year old dark brahma hen is still sitting on the nest because she's upset about the changes to the coop that I made late last night.

Please PLEASE tell me that's the reason she's been there since early this morning.

Please PLEASE don't tell me that she's decided to go...go....I can't even say the word....

BR...ooo...dy!

I'm disappointed

I thought you had Brahma/Turken/Polish crosses

I was picturing furry feet, bald necks & a POOF! on top

And why is going broody a BAD thing???

I welcome all babies especially if a chicken is willing to sit on the eggs and take care of them herself! A few more chickens won't hurt will they?

You'd have to know the history. Basically I begged and pleaded for a broody for three long years. I cried every time someone else reported getting a broody on BYC. I begged my girls, I pleaded, I bribed. Not a single broody. Then I met Sourland. He took an instant dislike to me. He sent a little broody voodoo my way. I have broodies coming out my ears (although not my brahmas).

I need another broody like I need another hole in my head. Besides every single dog crate I own is in use in my other coop.
