I don’t really check on my mama hen too much because I don’t want her being upset when I’m touching her chick but today I decided to see how it’s been growing. Why am I already worried that it’s probably gonna grow up to be a roo. It’s comb is huge for being so small, only my luck And yeah I know it’s young but might as well start it now to update up on it and look back at the beginning pictures...

Both parents are pure Barred Rock? How old? I ask because comb growth and redness indicates cockerel, but pattern indicates pullet.

Too young. It could be a cockerel, but there's nothing telling at this age. Post pics of the comb at 6 weeks.
