Yes both are barred rocks, it’s gonna be 3 weeks tomorrow.Both parents are pure Barred Rock? How old? I ask because comb growth and redness indicates cockerel, but pattern indicates pullet.

Righttt, I guess I’ll have to see when it’s feathers grow in or if it starts crowing lol.Wow, what a head scratcher. I'm going to say pullet because the pattern "should" be more accurate than comb redness this young. Combs can flush red at times, especially when excited, stressed or spooked.
