OH SNAP!! Is this a roo? Please help!!

Thanks so much. We are feeling pretty pullet-y now. But if anyone else has some input....by all means, jump in here!!!

I thought pullet from the get-go. Not sure why. Don't see much red in comb and wattles. just seems girly.

Ok I know this is not what you want to hear and honestly I've only owned chickens for a year and knew nothing about them before that, but I have 2 BA's that I thought were both pullets. The smallest looked just like yours at 5weeks and now at about 12 weeks it's very much a roo.

He's about 1/3 the size of the hen and they are the same age. I'm not saying yours is a roo b/c what do I know? NOT A LOT!! LOL This is just my experience. Luckily for me I wanted a roo so for you I hope they are both pullets!!

So, seven-to-two say it's a pullet. My thanks to everyone who participated. I sure hope lil Mindy gets to stick around. My daughter is very much in love with her.

Mother O'Chicks, if I remember correctly, yours are the EEs? If that's correct, IDK why they consensus is different. I have a friend with a EE who looks a lot like your two, and she also is suspicious that it's a he. I know nothing of EEs, except that I want one.

Help!!

My black australorpe, La Fawnduh has always been sooo curious. She’s my MOST friendly bird if all 10…secretly she’s my favorite. She literally comes up to me and stretches her neck out when I’m sitting down and wants attention. Let’s me pet her as much as I want with no back talk like the others lol…

However, her comb IS looking a tad bit extra pink the last few days. There’s NO WAY my sweet girl is a rooster, right?? Im probably just paranoid, but I’m adding a new thread with her pics ASAP haha!!
