My son in law and I were just talking about turtles and how people will deliberately drive over them. It's so sad when people have such hate in their hearts to do that to a helpless animal. That was a nice thing you did for that young turkey. Sorry you had to see it and go through it!! Too bad you didn't get his license #!!

I shudder to think what he would do to a young child if he has no qualms about deliberately driving through a flock of turkeys smiling!, hope he rots in a dark place...

I hate to say it, but that is so common here. People see animals on the road, and their hick mentality kicks in and they think DINNER!!! and speed up to him them. I swear, I have see guys in pick ups boot it in their trucks to hit deer on the road. I'm not even kidding. I narrowly missed a rogue Turkey sprinting across the road today.

i hate people who try to kill animals on the side of the road or crossing the road. Hubby and i need a bumper sticker that says "we brake for turtles" LOL. so, anyway, i hate hate hate it when poeple run them over. or any animal crossing the road.. ugh. sick people. i holler at DH to swerve to miss a possum, coon, crow, sparrow, etc lol.
