New member today and I can't believe how many Ohio people are here. We live in Madison Ohio, which is about 1 hr east of Cleveland.on the LakeErie shores. This will be my first Summer with chickens and I know we are going to have many surprises.
I have 6 white leghorn hens and 3 bantam rooster and 2 hens. they are only 6 weeks old but they're already part of my family.

First time chicken rancher and having a blast.My grandparents had chickens,but I don't remember them.Got a buddy up in Madison,,to close to that glow in the dark tower for me.haha!!! Do Ohio wannabees count??? My mommy was from OH....Sunbury...about 25 miles north of Columbus. Spent most of our vacations at my grandparents house....as my mommy flew the coop and moved to NH where I grew up and live now. However, I said the whole time I was growing up that I was born in the wrong state....and I spent 2 1/2 years in Athens at OU getting my masters degree....LOVE LOVE LOVE Ohio and would move back in a heartbeat!!!

Anyone looking to live in a beautiful neighborhood in the Clintonville area of Columbus? There's a house up for sale for an excellent price in my chicken-friendly hood. I would love to have some more chicken-friendly neighbors--would be very convenient. (Imagine putting together a chicken-sitting exchange for vacations . . .)

I live in Jackson county way down here in southern Ohio. Im about as far away from any big city in Ohio that you can be and still be in Ohio..... and thats the way I like it.
