OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hey fellow Ohioans,

If anyone has two fully grown or “out of the brooder” drakes they need to rehome for free or are selling for a reasonable price and are within 1.5 hours of Athens, Ohio let me know! I’m not particular on a specific breed but would like a couple friendly, calm birds.

I have close neighbors and tried keeping ducks last year and they were a little too noisy for my yard, but I do miss having them around. They would be pets/ employees only. 😬 Their job, of course is to be eating weeds and bugs from the garden. Thanks!

I have two I am thinking Mallard young Drakes. They are fully feathered and only 5 weeks old. They are not sexed for sure yet and I know they will be able to fly. I have not handled them so they are skittish. I am not 100% sure they are boys but they have not quacked or made noise yet. In a couple more weeks I would know for sure if you are interested. They are healthy and I am in Pataskala, 18 miles East of Columbus, just on the outskirts of town. Let me know if you would be interested. I let mine go for 8 a piece. They turn out to be beautiful birds.

I clip mines wings and that is what keeps them from flying away. Once they are clipped once they usually know their home and will stick around where you want them. Let me know if you are interested. I have sold many in the past and people have always been pleased with them as I take very good care of my Ducks. Thanks

Do any of you guys sell eggs and what are you charging? We were charging 1.50 per dozen, 1.25 each for two dozen or more. Originally, people were looking at us like they thought that was expensive. Now, people are beginning to ask us for eggs, and they're looking at us like they think that's cheap. Ohio is notoriously cheap, so what d'ya think?
Hi, new to the forum and in NE Ohio we are selling at $4-5.00 per dozen. I think if you look at store organic free range prices, that is really cheap!! Raise your prices! Good luck!

I sell eggs also. I sell a dozen for $5.00 to people I know but am not that close to, then if you are a close friend, $2.00, then a real close friend, FREE!!! LOL Funny prices I know but it works for me and my Ducks.

I only have five hens so I don't get enough eggs to sell. I do give away my extra but I don't charge. I feel funny charging because the chickens are gonna get fed whether or not I get paid for their eggs

I totally understand your feelings but I spend a lot of money in good feed for mine so it just goes towards the feed. I have given away a ton more than I have ever sold. If I sell them it keeps people not that close to me from wanting more and more when oftentimes I keep them to give away.

Hi Debbie, I wanted to tell you my ducks started flying as I decided not to pinion them. of course, it was one of the girls started getting out of the fence. The next day I made time to clip and bad the whole lot of them. I have more males than I thought if someone in the Cleveland area needs a beautiful Drake please let me know.
