Did you get them from TSC or a Rural King? Just Curious.Yeah, my previous batch of 6 Pekins turned out to be 5 hens and a drake..so it worked out well for me. Not sure on the 11 I just bought since they are only 6 weeks old.

Lucky you. I am glad that you got so many Hens the first time around. My buck a duck was no big deal since I hopefully have a home for them and it was fun watching them get so big already.Got them from TSC
I am quickly trying to get their coop and run setup, since I lost one Rouen and one Pekin from my last batch. They looked sickly when I first got them, but didn't want to leave them behind. Even though they were just a buck a piece, it always weighs heavy on my heart at losing one.Lucky you. I am glad that you got so many Hens the first time around. It was great to finally meet you and get the 2 chicks. I will post updates on their progress and introduce them to our existing flock. Have a great time on your vacation! Please let me know if/when Ursula decides to go broody again and we can work something out.Update: I have decided I am going to buy the hatching eggs for Ursula.
Will anyone take some free chicks in about a month? I'm trying to decide whether to get a half dozen or full dozen eggs.

Love your pond! My two ponds are currently overrun by cattails, but I hope to remedy that once I get an excavator to dig me up 2 acres. For the time being, the ducks are content with their kiddie pool...heheUpdate on all the duckling hatches, a few pics. First pic isothers are hatches since. Ya the cattails can overtake your pond in no time. I tried to have a small patch off one end of pond at one time but got tired of trying to contain them to that smaller area that was impossible. So, I have eradicated them altogether now no cattails allowed. That's an awesome pond! My two ponds are currently overtaken by cat
