New to byc we live in fredericktown started with 6 chickens. 2 rir roosters, leghorn, 2 golden comets a old English Banty hen. Recieved a white silkie rooster from a lady in worthington Ohio. Then purchased 10 Dominique chicks and 2 silver lace hamburgs from Meyers hatchery. Then Recieved 15 silkie chicks for free from a couple in thornville. We also hatched 5 leghorn eggs fertilized by our rir. And 1 golden comet egg fertiled by our rir.
isn't moving hectic? i still havent figure out how to move our flock. i have thought about building a big pen for the hens and just keeping the roosters seperate, but just to pen the roosters is around 70 cages i need.Yep it's panic time in my house!Trying to work out the logistics of a 1000 mile move while showing a house without boxes stacked in every corner.... LOL I have a busy time ahead with two boys in school and the hubby still working up till time to move!![]()
