OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Anyone know of any breeders with welsummers, Ameraucanas/Araucanas/EEs (doesnt matter which but I would like a blue egg), and/or olive egger pullets/hens? I am looking to add a few of these breeds to my flock but would prefer not to go the hatchery route if possible. I am located between Dayton and Columbus and dont mind driving a little bit :) Thanks!
what exactly are you looking for? hens/roosters/chicks?

i have some araucanas (black) that i will be breeding in spring. for some reason there is a touch of red showing up in them every now and then. they do lay nice and blue eggs.

i understand you not wanting to order from hatcheries. but, be careful where you buy from. CRD runs rampant around here (OH, IN, and PA.) once you get disease started its nearly impossible to get rid of.

I am interested in pullets or hens. I figured chicks were not really an option unless I went the hatchery route since I couldn't get them sexed and I can't have any roosters at the moment. Thanks for the heads up- now after doing some research on CRD, I am definately going to be wary! I didn't know it was such a problem around here. I would be interested in a few of your araucanas if you end up with extra gals, and I raise for eggs only so it doesn't matter to me what color feathers they have as I am just looking to add some blue to my egg basket :)

i really dont have any extra hens at the moment (maybe one), but i might know someone. a guy i trade with mentioned he had several. let me check with him - send me a PM and if you havent heard anything back by saturday, ask again.

It is so cold and snowy here - I am frozen but not my internet! We have about 8 inches of snow in the very NW corner. I have all the chickies and ducks back in their barns and have water carried out to all three barns! I have a lone little Japanese Bantam roo in my basement because it just is too cold for him out there without any cuddle buddies. My turkeys went to the doorway of the big barn and tilted their heads sideways and scooted right back to the safety and protection in the barn. I have some Buckeyes that got themselves through the snow earlier in the day over to the duck barn and when the snow got too deep for them, they couldn't get back to their barn and I had to carry them back over. They are only a little bit spoiled! How much snow does everyone else have? We are on a level 2 snow emergency right now.

HI Buckeyes. Anyone have or know anyone with quality Welsummer Roosters. I would prefer Oh,Ky,In. Thanks and keep warm.

hi ! not sure how much snow we have, girls won't go outside in it now. going to be below 0 tonight with the wind, going to be interesting on the shipping dock, brr!
