I got an accidental Bantam from her late in the season. She's a Svart Hona Cochin cross. Last weight was 2 lbs 0.6 oz. I'm thinking I'll have to pick up a Bantam friend or two for her in the spring.I have 5 of her Cochin Bantams. I love love love them!
I could be in trouble if your close by! I saw you had RIR looking for homes and said silkie cochin crosses!I drive through Chardon all the time!

Chicken Math!!!
I'm waiting on 5 girls to start laying! I ended up with 3 boys so if you think you want one of those I'll trade! LOL I was ok with 2 but when a girl turned out not to be it tipped the scales. I'm not for culling just based on gender. Trying to see how everyone behaves before deciding what to do. I think it's a good excuse to get more girls. My BF disagrees. (He can't cull either.)We just moved to Geneva near the Geneva state park a month ago. The RIR turned out to be Golden Comets and were rehomed a while ago, all but a handful of hens and the two roosters. I do have some silkie Cochin crosses that definitely could be go live with someone else. They are really cute and funny, but we are up to around 80-85 poultry and just got two Angora bunny boys on Thursday, we will be getting two barn kittens sometime soon, and a starter flock of sheep in a couple weeks - I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment!
