Glad to hear they are doing well. Chilled cucumbers is a great idea! I'll have to try that.Fuzz and Pokie are doing well, although I've been keeping them isolated in the coolness of my garage with Lucy and Lady. I wanted to wait until it cooled down a bit prior to me introducing them to the rest of the flock. I've been bringing chilled cucumbers to try and keep everyone cooled down and hydrated.
They love it!Glad to hear they are doing well. Chilled cucumbers is a great idea! I'll have to try that.
Why did they even get the ducks in the first place?anyone in Ohio that can take these ducks from michigan? https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...-take-them-what-do-i-do.1630811/post-27846191
I am in Ohio and they are beautiful ducks but I surely do not need any more drakes. One is a drake and they are not Mallards. I wish I could help out but since they are not both females and I don't want to drive to Michigan I can't. Thanks for trying to help them with them though.anyone in Ohio that can take these ducks from michigan? https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...-take-them-what-do-i-do.1630811/post-27846191
I wish I had seen this earlier since I could have told my friend, who is driving down from upper Michigan, to pick them up and drop them off at my place.anyone in Ohio that can take these ducks from michigan? https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...-take-them-what-do-i-do.1630811/post-27846191
Whereabouts are you located? I may have a couple of nice cockerels that I'm not allowed to keep. Hoping they surprise me and end up being female but we'll see, they're almost 8 weeks old and a little too cuddly and have more pink around their combs than I'm comfortable with. They would be speckled sussex and cuckoo marans, 1 of each.As mentioned before, I'd be willing to take in chickens/ducks/goats/donkeys, no matter what gender they are. Just looking to make sure they can live out their natural lives normally.
Just bought a shed, big enough to accept 20 more chickens, and am in the process of prepping the build area.
