So glad to hear that you are alright. You could have gotten hyperthermia in this cold really easy. One time when I was tubing I was in the front tube and the rest of them accidently shoved me onto a frozen stream that I fell through. We were a long ways to the friends house we were at and I kept my wet clothes on and we drove home. It was sub zero out and I was so cold that I shivered for hours and had my Husband keep piling clothes on top of me in my bed trying to get me to stop shaking. I should have gotten into a hot bath like you did. I was not wanting to get near any more water at the time after I fell in.It's beginning to snow over here once more..but what should one expect since its mid January. My ducks have been consistently laying 2 to 3 eggs a day, and my chickens have surprisingly picked up in their production...giving me 3 to 4 eggs a day now.
Took advantage of the cold spell by venturing onto my pond. Thought the top was fully frozen solid, so I wanted to hack away at the cattails while I had the chance. Unfortunately, the ice wasn't thick enough and I fell through up to my chest. Had to run into the house and take a hot bath to defrost myself..hehe
