OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I hope everyone is safe from this latest storm. We have gotten a huge amount of snow, at least a foot which is unusual for us. I am so tired of shoveling and it just keeps coming down. No school tomorrow as we are on a Level 3 in Licking County. I don't think we will go for most of this week as it will take a while to be able to move this and it hasn't stopped yet and won't until tomorrow. I pray everyone is safe. I have had to clear the ducks food dishes from the snow three times today so that they can get to them and give them more water. It's been years since we have had this much snow here. Good luck everyone and stay safe.

We have about a foot of snow, also(on top of what we already had). And they called school off for us tomorrow, too. I think they'll call it for Tuesday at least, if not Wednesday, because of the wind chill. -20 is not something to laugh at. Hope you are staying safe and warm

I don't think we will go until around Thursday at this rate. If not the cold, it's the snow they can't move because we have so much and not enough equipment to do it with. We are still under a Level 3 here and it is snowing again. I saw where we won't get above freezing until February 10th. More snow will come off and on between then and now so I think we are stuck with this stuff for a while. You stay safe and warm too. So far my ducks are doing well but I have to keep making paths and unblocking their feeding areas for them so they can get to them.

School just got called off for tomorrow as expected. Wind chills at -20. My chickens are doing great, they are currently in their run, that's covered in plastic, enjoying the sunshine. The run door is frozen shut but their food and water is in the coop so I don't need to worry about that. Their water is in two heated nipple buckets, best things I ever bought for my coop

I still haven't heard from my school district yet. I don't think we will go but they will hold off on calling for a while longer. They just now lifted our county from a level 3 to a level 2. I have 7 heated water buckets for the ducks and one has given out and is completely frozen but that is why I have 7. The other six are plenty for them. It's going to be a cold snowy winter for sure this year and the ski resorts are loving it for sure as long as people can get to them.

Right next to you in Knox county would like to request that you stop sending snow our way. Just kidding. Stay safe.

We ended up not letting the kids go at all this week but I have to go in tomorrow for what they call a Waiver day and drive my bus for an hour and then do other things. It will be 7 below in the morning, what are they thinking wanting us to take the buses out in those temps???? Oh well, if we break down we'd better be dressed really warm and trust me, I will, heated gloves and all.
