Just cleaned outour coop today its been so cold this is the first chance we have had! We are also making a poop board and building actual nest boxes -no more dumped over milk crates!

Hi everyone! I'm from the little hole in the wall county of Coshocton, Ohio. We live on a farm and raise a little bit of everything, but dairy goats, Delaware and Buff Orpingtons are what I love the most.

We lost one of our RIRs two days ago

She was a great layer.

Now we're looking to add one or two hens. We want quiet, calm birds that are easy to handle and good egg layers. Maybe Barnevelders or Sussex, or Orpingtons.
We do have a bit of a bias in favor of brown eggs.

We want to get them locally in Ohio (Central Ohio preferably) so we can pick up ourselves. We would welcome suggestions or offers.
