As if people will ever be endangered. In about 10 years were be the only thing on this planet!!!! just adds to the more reasons I hate people.

The man killed himself. There is no doubt that suicide is the most selfish act there is. Clearly, he wasn't thinking about anything other than himself. He most certainly wasn't thinking "clearly" when he set all those animals free. He was only thinking about how to end his own pain. It is a horrible situation for EVERYONE involved - human and otherwise - those that killed and those that had to be killed - and those still to be accounted for. Turns my stomach just to think about it.

Well said. Also to add to the person that said they had a friend that was a responsible owner of exotic animals, is not, NO ONE SHOULD OWN THESE ANIMALS.

Not to step on anyones toes BUT, Why do you say that no one should own these animal MSTRICER???? You don't even know what animals my friend owns. Also., what is the definition of "EXOTIC"?? What started out as exotic 25 years ago is now an accepted domestic animal. Alpacas and Llama's are just one example. I agree that there are SOME animals that should only be in proper Zoo's and breeding programs. HOWEVER there are other animals that are becoming more mainstream than they were 15 years ago. I am sure that some of our chicken breeds were thought of as "exotic" at some point in time. Does that mean that we shouldn't own them. I think you are taking to broad a stroke with your paintbrush to say that no one should own any exotic animals. I try to see both sides of the coin especially since I work with state and federal agencies on some of these matters. Maybe if OHIO had some stricter laws to start with, this would not have happened. Also my friends animals are ALL registered with the USDA since he takes them all over the United States for educational purposes.

I'll take on that question tsmith..... No private individual should ever be allowed to "own" or keep Exotic animals when they pose a potential threat to the public. This includes tigers, bears, pythons and boas. No wolves, no monkeys or chimps. No gators or crocs. And a potential threat to the public includes possible disease as well as potential attack,or,in the case of Florida, boas and pythons released into the wild that are now taking over the Glades and other waterways. NO EXCEPTIONS! NO "EDUCATIONAL" EXEMPTIONS! NO REASONS ACCEPTED! There are zoos for these animals and that is where they should be. I sure as heck do not want that as a neighbor and I doubt many sane people do.

At the last count only 5 of over 50 animals was still alive, they rest had all been shot.
A wolf and a monkey (not the one are by the lion) is thought to be still at large.
I feel so bad for those animals

They didnt deserve to be owned by a dummy (who NEVER should of had all those animals in the first place)
He had over 30 compleints this this year alone on his animals, that should of been a sign right there!

Endangered or not, the tigers, etc should not of been killed

I agree with you wholeheartidly on those animals. But there are other animals that are considered "exotic" that are not harmful to anyone. I just think that saying NO exotics should be allowed to be owned by anyone is wrong. That's just my opinion and we all have our own. I respect yours and those animals you listed should NOT be owned by anyone except proper zoo's or foundations.
