OHIO TRADERS!!!

Hi, I would like to join the list. I currently have nothing to trade at the moment. I have a variety of chickens, a couple of silkie hens and a silkie rooster, speckled sussex, a barred plymoth rock, two buckeye hens (going to expand my buckeye flock and get a rooster), two welsummers (I think I am going to do the same with these), three ameraucanas, a silver spangled hamburg, a buff chantecler, an australorp, a buff frizzle, a leghorn rooster and hens, plus bantam leghorn roosters and hens, a white face spanish hen, and a pair of pekin ducks. I have aquired most of my flock from people wanting to get rid of them and now I can post if I need to find some a home instead of having a mismatch flock. I get my eggs or chicks from Meyer Hatchery. I go and pick them up, it is a nice little drive and does not take too long from Granville. I am thinking about starting a turkey flock and selling turkeys, but I am not completely sold on that project.

I would like to join the list also! I have Pure Black Jersey Giants.
I am not far from the Middlefield auction at all. My parents go all the time.
I am looking for Turkey poults or eggs.

Yah, I'm not sure it'd be worth it. Especially since there's no telling what they'll have from week to week. I'm about a half hour away, maybe a little less than that, and only go occasionally. I haven't been at all since last summer, I've seen some really nice birds go through, but you can't count on it. I'll bet in the spring, they'll have some half grown chicks etc, but later in the year, people sell off their older hens after the pullets start to lay, and there's always the danger of disease etc. Still it's interesting and they have the flea market stuff and produce etc on Mondays too.

Not sure I'd drive 3 hours to get to it though!!

One hour, yeah, 3? Nah.

Hello all. I am so glad to have found this forum. Sadly I am currently between chickens. I had what I think was a fox get in the hen house and clean me out in one night. If you see a fat fox running around Preble county please let me know so I can have a little "talk" with him. Preble county is in western Ohio. I would really like to repopulate my chicken house with some bantam cochins. Any suggestions of local(west central) Ohio breeders would be great. Thanks so much.

ok! I have 2 Big RIR Roos that are FREE to a good home asap! They are gentle and not agreessive but are over working my girls bad! HELP!!! or they will be in the oven SOON!

Count me in the list.

I live in SW Ohio. I do not have anything currently but will need bantam eggs/day olds in the next few weeks.
