I'm near London, OH... just west of Columbus. I raise French Black Copper Marans. I also have Black/Blue Ameraucanas, but I'm without a rooster now, so they're not breeding. I'm looking for more Ameraucanas like mine.

We don't really plan on breeding at this point. My Hubby talked to someone that works at a hatchery nearby, and told him about "teenager" hens. What are those called? Sorry, not into chicken lingo. That way we can get used to having chickens without the heat lamps, etc. right off.

Terry, those are usually called 'started pullets.' Those are fairly easy to get ahold of right after easter, after all the people who bought chicks for their kids are figuring out that now they don't know what to do with these not-so-fluffy little birds anymore.
