My hen was viciously attacked by guineas last year and nearly died. The incident left her without feathers and her oil gland looking like this. Each side looks like a tiny, dirty cauliflower head. I see no actual oil gland that sticks up. Should these "cauliflowers" be cleaned? They aren't red/inflamed looking, more like hardened, dirty oil. Am I to assume correctly her glands were pecked open and have never covered back over?
Thank you.
