This is what I went through this past summer Seminole. Same symptoms and actions. There were also ones that had the occular changes and then there were those that showed the classic leg forward and back. I had hoped what happened to me was a singular experience. This is so not encouraging. I have lost a couple since the colder weather has come. Fine one minute, dead the next. No clue.
I am sorry. I know what you are going through and truely wish you were not. The ones that are the most loving are the ones you will lose, at least in my experience. They can make it longer on antibiotics and special care but I always wondered if they were in pain. I think you are making the right choice with the culling. It's an awful choice to make but it's much better than watching them suffer further down the line.
That's what we did when our booster pump went out, found one cheap on ebay, but if the well pump goes out, I think the pump/crane company has to come out because its like 150 feet down, I think.
That is so true. If it weren't for you and others like you last Summer and Fall, I would have gone right out of my mind. It just saddens me that someone else is seeing the exact same symptoms. I had so hoped that what happened here was a freak thing.Miss, I know that if you have animals you have to be responsible for them, and it includes euthanizing. I can do some, but others I can't do, and my original girls will be going to the vet when the time comes. There are times that I can't do it at all. It's just never easy. But , when I have to, each one gets a funeral and a prayer. And I have to hold on to the fact that no matter how long their life, it was a good one. Roosters included.
