Ok, finally got the pics...now maybe ya'll can help

[Yay Chicks!]

My two EEs are way different colored than each other. Plus when they were growing out their tails took on a whole different shape from each other as well. I was afraid one would turn out to be a boy, but, nope, both girls.
I think both of yours look like girls as well.

The one from the feed store is a pullet no doubt but that little dark one I think it may be a roo. It's little comb is soo red. My roos comb didn't turn red like that till he was almost 3 months old!

I'd say both pullets. neither have very big o red combs.

I truly hope the black one is a girl. She has a great personality, she's beautiful... and she's the only egg that my silkie actually hatched, so I have a lot invested in her and have a special attachement.

As I posted before, I think her comb looks more red because of the red bulb in the heat lamp. Its pretty yellow in real life.

Often when you breed/hatch your own chickens and then purchase from the store there are major differences. I am unsure of the mix of your cute chick you hatched. But When I bred a Male Black sex-link and and EE hen, I got a pullet that was the color of the father Brichen like feathering and huge compared to the other chicks that I boutgh when fully grown. It was interesting. But I think that is why your hatched chick is bigger than the store bought one. My hen was also towering over everyone else. I have bought a lot of EE's from the feed store and they are all relative in size but not to my hatched EE's. My hen Queenie and her half sister Estrah. So I have to say you have two beautiful pullets!
