ok guys and gals eco friendly time

NO get back on your soap box. what you just said was well brilliant. there should be more people like you in this world. i am the same way actualy. but i go as far as to get wood that people throw away for no other reason than they dont need it and build things like a cold frame im actualy building one of those now with no new wood. the back wall is made of 1x4s that i salvaged and cut to fit and an old pain of glass for the top framed out in old pallet wood and looking for 4 more boards of 1x4s to finish the sides. and the total coast was zero. oh the weed eater i use is a works gt with the eddging twist on it. completly emission free. wonderful thing and that i didnt even get new found it at a garage sale. for ten bucks. works great and no packing. i make baskets out of news paper for fun and that keeps paper out of the land fill and they are actualy quite strong. and my chickens the first ladies are enjoying my compost pile lol. actualy i have a hard time getting them to leave it when i need to put new stuff in lol kinda funny. what else do people do to be eco friendly

My hubby hates to let me go to the dump with him because I can't resist bringing stuff back... That perfectly good set of Anderson windows, double pane, no less... I might be able to use them... for something! The newspaper basket idea sounds interesting. I'll have to google that one.

the windows you could use for a cold frame. actualy i just got done with the newest one lol made from pallets and a sheet of glass i found unbroken and rather big. if you look hard enough you can find just about anything that you could ever need. so yeah lol find stuff in your own area and no need to go to the dump altho i always find cool things there and offten get them for free. actualy this cold frame of mine coast me nothing including the nails found a box of random hardware along the road for the garbage men and picked it up case and all. and my chickens are actualy wondering what is this warm box with the see threw thingy in our feeding area lol but it would have coast about 100 bucks to actualy buy and all the waste from it would end up in the dump. nothing went to waste tho.and about the basket look it up on youtube. thats where i got the idea lol and took me about an hour to make a good sized one.
