ok-I am a dork-I fell asleep in the new coop with the chickens!!

Im pathetic-I went into the 8 x 8 coop we just built-I loaded it with fresh shavings and food and water-it smelled so good-the chickens were in their attached run. I sat down on the clean bedding-legs stretched out-sunshine on my face-watching the chickens one by one pile into the coop surrounding my legs-taking bedding baths-eating and drinking-heaven right? ah...I closed my eyes for a second or so I thought..next thing I know My DH was knocking on the window and laughing -he says " hey chickie mommy...are you nappy napping?" I smiled and said yes-it smells so good in here I want to enjoy it before it gets smelly!!!

Oh, Wow! I hope I don't do that when I get to build my henhouse......but, knowing how and where ever I might be, it could be possible for me to do exactly the same thing!

As a treat for the kids, after all the hard work, we set up cots and the whole family spent the night in ours! Before the chickens moved in, of course.

I've fallen asleep in my pigeon loft before. I woke up with a pigeon standing on my knee, staring up at me asking for more peanuts

I love to lay in my goaties box after I fill it with clean wheat straw. It smells so good!

LOL, reminds me of the time my son fell asleep in his dog's house! He was two and was playing with his buddy (a brittany) --I started looking for him-- he and the dog were in the doghouse, curled together, sound asleep.. I woke him up and he crawled out sweaty and had cedar shavings stuck to his face, head and arms... AND LOTS of white curly dog hairs...
