Sheltie Appreciation Thread!!!!!!

I hear a sheltie bark all day. She just needs more exercise in which she doesnt get a tiny yard does no good.
People don't realize that Shelties are herding dogs. They need activity and a job!
This is my Granddogger, Sunflower. She's almost a year old here, back in January. I'll try to upload more current ones later. She's starting to get her ruff, now ... and she's gorgeous!

shelties do need to work. People think small dogs dont, but many are unfulfilled and are just tied outside.

My Sheltie is just a ... nervous barker. Or something. I don't know what his problem is. He barks at US. I mean, at his own family. I can walk out the back door and he barks at me. I turn right around and come back in and he barks. I mean, he can SEE that it's me! Even when I speak to him, he goes on. Every time my husband moves, it's bark bark bark. If he sneezes, he barks. I've finally started keeping the e-collar on him and been giving him a little vibration after the second bark. It's helping. But only when he's wearing the collar. He's 8 years old and we got him at 15 months. He was not well socialized.
