ok I have a couple chickens I would appreciate help with...What breed

Can you post better pictures of the white bird's feet? Maybe while standing naturally? It looks more like a freak extra toe than a five-toed-breed extra toe. Look at the posted image of the Dorking above for comparison.

I really do not think there is any reason to think the second bird has any Dorking--especially if she does not have the fifth toe (which is a dominant trait). The color of the second bird is called "Silver Duckwing" if you do a Google image search for "Silver Duckwing hen" you will see that lots of breeds can have that coloring: Yokohama, Old English Game, Kraienkoppe, Leghorn, Welsummer, and on and on. The coloring is nice enough that I wouldn't think it's a mixed breed--unless it's Silver Duckwing over Silver Duckwing--somebody more familiar with color genetics can correct me.

Large Fowl Silver Phoenix hens are 4lbs, that's fairly small. Silver Grey Dorking hens are 7lbs. A Bantam Phoenix hen is around 1.5. So... that means a large fowl Phoenix is right in the middle between LF Dual Purpose breeds and bantams--which might give someone the impression that they are the result of breeding a large fowl and a bantam.

Here is a photo of a Silver Phoenix hen from Cackle Hatchery's website:

Here's what Cackle Hatchery calls a Silver Duckwing Jungle Fowl Old English Game (Large Fowl) (They also have a Silver Duckwing OEG and OEG Bantam):

Wow thanks
That was super informative!!!
So she is not that tiny..
I will shoot better pictures..
This is kind of fascinating or I'm a dork .. Either way..
Thank you!

So I hunk everyone is right..the one is a silver or gold phoenix..
She is smaller than the bigger girls..but not 70% smaller!..
maybe 1/2 as big..
she does kind of have that duckwing coloring...

so these chickens are new to me and still skittish... the phot op I had tonight will probably not endear me to them much...
but I always try to handle them in such a way they are not hurt or have SERIOUSLY negative recollections from it..
and I try to (often) attach the concept of food and water to me...LOL
the giant provider so to speak...

but I cornered the one...in the coop tonight as I will never catch her standing still for some time to come...

and took this pic

yeah after I started looking online..I noticed that "5th" toe..is really distinct..
and she does not have it...

so who knows war she is..
I think we all did agree #2 is a phoenix ... silver with the silver duckwing coloring..

but I did find a little farm in So Cal that breeds Dorking specifically and said the breed has become quite rare and the toe and a beak issue with new 100% full blood chics is not uncommon.. so to be patient with shipment so they could hatch you a good batch etc..

here is their website.. http://www.dorkingchickensforsale.com
really informative...
I might do some barter as my daughter lives in SoCal..and it is a long days drive across the deserts for me..LOL

thanks again for your patience with me...
