Ok, I think I am going to build a tub plucker. I have done research and see what I have to do. The question is once I build the frame and I have the fingers in the tube plate ect, I put the shaft in the frame and the through the bearings then the tub over it. OK, here is the stupid question, what keeps the tub in place and the plate shaft dropping drop. I am quessing something has to be supporting the tub but what. I just can not seem to wrap my head around it.

There are set screws in the bearings that prevent it from falling. The shaft stays put, the pulleys stay aligned but you can raise or lower the tub plate.

You might consider just buying a plucker off of CraigsList. That's where I got my whizbang plucker.
