OK, I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!

Can you post a picture? I had a hen (not quail) that almost got "scalped" by agressively mating of roosters. When I found her it was just a "flap". I cleaned it, put ointment on it, and kept her quiet...where flys couldnt get to the wound. I checked it daily, cleaning as needed, refreshing the ointment. It did heal over, and the "dead skin" edges did turn yellowish, pretty early on, as there wasnt alot of blood supply to that part. The large flap, did re-adhere to the skin, and it was hardly noticed after about a month. The ointment I used first was antibiotic ointment, then I switched to a "comfrey" ointment that was made out of comfrey and bees wax. He sounds delightful! I hope is litttle top feathers grow back!
