OK...it can all stop now, I surrender, I swear I do (my week plus)

OMG yes. She would have ran or screamed or something...I am almost positive it would have attacked her in that case. I am giving thanks to everything Holy that it was me that walked in there.

Cetawin, I have been wondering where you've been this week!!

When I read your story, I couldn't decide whether to

. I am SO glad that you are safe and that you weren't injured by the mountain lion!

I'm looking forward to the beadwork update! Can't wait to see it!

OK so if I am trapped by a wounded mountain lion having a protracted argument with my husband is LESS likely to make her eat me than if I try to bolt out the door????

I would have been speechless with fear. I would have wet my pants, fainted, and become lunch... end of story -- life insurance or not!!

Now I have something brand spanking new on my lists of experiences I never want to have!!!! Wow!!! Being locked in a garagewith a scary wounded mountain lion has got to ge one of the most frightening experinces ever. Sounds like you handled it brilliantly. I think I would still be shaking, even if I was locked inone of those comfy white rooms.

Glad you're OK.
But I feel bad for the mountain lion, really.

Poor thing. Was just looking for a safe place to clean her wounds, and was startled by you(which was why she was screaming and growling at you; to try and scare you away because she was afraid).

I'm glad you're OK, but I wish it could have ended better with the mountain lion. If it were me, I would have ran back inside and called animal control. Then maybe they could catch her and bring her to rehabilitation, then let her go back to the wild once she was healed.
But I'm glad you're OK.

Thanks for sharing!

I have returned for a reread- and you still did everything right!

Yup, hindsight (pardon the pun) is much funnier! I would have done the same thing- freeze and deal with it, shake for 2 days afterward.

Would it be too late to suggest an automatic garage door opener?

to let the lion out, with push buttons near each exit. Something to think about if you think that it could possibly happen again...

You are very brave and you did think about the radio and I'm sure adrenalin would have made you look around for a weapon and you would have locked in on the pitchfork.

You week made me thankful for my bad week

I am in awe of your quick thinking and ability to remain thinking in such a scary situation! Panicking may well have gotten you injured or killed. I'm glad you're still around to share your story.
