We use freecycle all the time. We used it for coop materials. That was fine.

PS- If you need egg cartons, my friend just gave us about 200

If the rules become what "woulda, coulda, shoulda, happen" then there will be no freecycle. Freecycle is supposed to be about giving away something you can no longer use for someone else to benefit from. Whether it's clothes for their kids, firewood, or scrap metal once somebody gives up ownership they really have no say in what happens to it.

We got a good treadmill from freecycle and a goat. The Denver Post ran a picture of my daughter with the goat in an article they did on freecycle. However I have encouraged my wife to stop sending me on freecycle pickups. We got a couple bags of clothing that was full of holes and stank from cigarettes. I drove 20 miles to pick up some railroad ties. When I got there they were rotted out and falling apart. I am always amused by some of the stuff that gets posted. Broken can opener, used toilet seat, TV that needs a tube. Sometimes there is something worth gong after but it goes fast.

Guess what, if people can profit off of other people's laziness.... its call a JOB! Let 'em work the idiots....

If someone wants to come take my trash for free so someone else can buy it... so be it... if I wanted to make money off of it, I'd get off my lazy rearend and try to do what needed to be done to sell whatever. Besides, its not in a landfill isn't that what we're doing here?! Sheesh!

I gave away a printer on there I used for all of 2 months, nothing wrong with it at all... even just refilled the ink!!! I had like 20 replies in 5 minutes!!!! It made someone's day, and I had another perfectly good printer. Shoot... just to make someone else's day I'm going to give away a large copying machine with fax and computer print options... office size (black and white only) but I don't need it, and someone may need it... or someone may need the money from it and I don't care of they sell it long as someone who needs it gets it!!!!!!!!!!!
