this may sound silly but what the heck is a EE EB LE and so on. I know they are breeds and I get RIR. :I'm new and this drives me crazy, will someone help me.

BB = Could be Brahma Buff

B can refer to Bantum, or Brahma

This is driving me nuts! I had egg dreams last night, but so far today I haven't even heard the egg song.

mrb--I couldn't have written it better myself! I have been doing the 'coop-run' for over two weeks, thinking "today's the day' only to return to the house broken hearted!!!

I have 3 BR (Barred Rocks), 3 RIR (Rhode Island Reds), 2 BO (Buff Orpingtons), 2 Am (true Ameraucanas), that are 23 weeks old and 2 EE (Easter Eggers) that are 20 weeks old--NOT one single egg...

My new coop song: ", Oh where, Oh, where are my eggs, I searched the coop over and not one in site" .

Wait... back up! Those two EEs are not laying because they want to come live at my farm!! Send them immediately! They are beautiful! I mean they are so gawd awful ugly that you sure don't want them seen on your place. I don't want your neighbors talking about you, and your ugly hens. Here they can live out their lives in secrecy, behind the trees, and no one but us will see them. I've even got some laying gals I'll send ya to replace those two.

So, what day do you want to switch? Today suits me. I'll be home all day. Just be sure to keep them hidden from your neighbors until then.


And I bet the other gals will start laying as soon as you remove those two!

Haha, how sweet your girls are! .. Mine laid about a week after the first stomp dance (which I thought was friggen hilarious so I kept making the hen do it LOL)

That sounds like the stomp dance, it's actually hilarious. I had one hen that would do it on command and she stomped real hard too LOL Made a huge racket.
