Ok, just HOW BAD is the LG bator?

Congrats on the bator! Let me know if you need any help stocking it!

I'm going to try hatching some of my own eggs before I get any others. I'd feel less bad if my own flopped.

I used them for years and hatched hundreds of eggs in them. Like many machines they are only as good as the person operating them. Follow the instructions and they will work for you.

this was my first time incubating anything, and it's what my SIL lent to me. I plugged it in, and let it get to tempreture, never had to adjust the dial, it stays at 100
I had almost all mine hatch, one got cracked too early, and died, and the rest were unfertil. and I lost one in the brooder, but I do have 8 baby quails, 5 banties, and one big black chick that came out of the LG. All are a week old, and still thriving!

I really couldn't tell you if it's "Bad" or not, because I havn;t had anything to compare it too.
what is anyone elses favorite incubator? I am working on getting one of my own, or even making one.

Absolutely true!!! I hatched button quail and had them running all over. Finally got smart and built a wooden frame that I set over/around so when I pick the lid up, they can't get far!

Edited to add that DBF just bought me a new Hovabator forced air/turbo fan with auto turner!! So now I will be able to compare that to my two LG still airs!

How fun! You have to tell us what you think about them and how it goes!
I just bought a LG myself, and I haven't put eggs in it yet but it has been holding its temperature very well the past few days.
