OK ... lets have an EGG COUNT

Not a one. Not one lazy egg. But it's so darn cold I guess the girls all need a break. I don't know how many I have total, about 15 that were laying over the summer and probably another 20-25 that are old enough to lay.

It's quite frustrating to go through 1/2-3/4 of a bag of food a day and still have to buy eggs

None of this info is pertinent unless we know how many hens you have at laying age!

Update to the four I got this morning, later on this afternoon I had four more, and then two tonight when I locked the coop up, so that's a total of ten out of fourteen hens. I'm not even sure all fourteen are laying, the highest amount I've gathered so far is eleven.

I have 13 Gold Comet girls, 7 months old. They started laying the day after they turned 4 months, and we still get between 8 and 10 eggs a day.

I got 2 more this afternoon so that was a total of 7 eggs today.

Usually ranges between 2-4 a day...today 2. I don't think they appreciate being snowed in. Three of my EE's are 22 weeks 3 days and no eggs yet from them.....hopefully there will be a present for me in thier nesting boxes in a couple days.
