ok.. medicated feed

I purchased chics that have not been treated Merks etc...
hence purchased them medicated feed


I am getting a batch of the Rarest of the rates from Mc Murry's and they will have their immunizations..
after reading on here I understand if i feed them medicated food it negates the vaccine...


So...
question is
IS this true?
How long do I have to feed medicated feed to unimmunized birds... so I can get them all on one food?

First of all yes this is true. If you feed vaccinated chicks medicated feed they have no protection for coccidiosis. So if they have been vaccinate for coccidiosis you do not feed them medicated feed ever. So if you have vaccinated and unvaccinated for coccidiosis you will want to raise them separately until they are old enough to be off of chick feed.
